This photo class, and tour, is a unique experience in and around Santa Fe. Professional photographer David has been a Santa Fe resident for more than 30 years. Bring your digital camera, smartphone, or both. This photo class/tour is a great place to start here in Santa Fe. You will learn composition, portraiture, landscape photography, lowlight, camera functions, and lots more. This 2- hour photo-class/tour will be a fun and insightful photographic learning experience for you while getting to know Santa Fe. Photo editing with Snapseed will be part of the instructions.
David knows all the best places to photograph in and around Santa Fe as well as being able to help travelers with questions regarding local restaurants, cultural activities, hiking, etc.

David brings a lifetime of experience in art and Photography. His credibility and results are impressive. His class and tour reflect his experience and skill and how much he loves Santa Fe. This isn’t a lecture. David explains and demonstrates the technique and process. Then we each took our turn using abs practicing what he taught. This class was great and he delivered more than he promised. We expect to follow up with more classes.

We thoroughly enjoyed David's class and highly recommend it. He is patient and encouraging and it's amazing what he manages to teach in 2 hours. His approach centers on taking your time and really seeing what is before you. We were eager to put what we learned to good use and took several strolls with the main intent being taking pictures. Do yourself a favor and take his class when you first arrive in Santa Fe. Such a beautiful city and so many lovely places to photograph!

Our photographer, David is a professional/ICONIC photographer. His works and things he's accomplished is mind blowing. He takes his class very seriously, so make sure you're paying attention!! My whole family is A.D.D and the other lady in our class was too. 😆 We probably drove David a little crazy...but all in all, we learned quite a bit. He teaches us to slow down and really take notice of our surroundings; how there's art everywhere. We were taught some editing skills..but that's actually the LAST thing you do. We are taught how to work our cameras to get the right shots so editing is minimal. On the con side; we didn't really do much walking around the whole square, learning about the history. The 2 hours goes by fast and there's not a lot of time for that. The focus is photography...BUT... it's still worth it. Just don't expect to get a walking tour of the city while learning photography. Bottom line, we LOVED it! It was me, my husband and teenage daughter. I don't think it's for young kids unless they're very artistic and can focus.
