This photo class, and tour, is a unique experience in and around Santa Fe. Professional photographer David has been a Santa Fe resident for more than 30 years. Bring your digital camera, smartphone, or both. This photo class/tour is a great place to start here in Santa Fe. You will learn composition, portraiture, landscape photography, lowlight, camera functions, and lots more. This 2- hour photo-class/tour will be a fun and insightful photographic learning experience for you while getting to know Santa Fe. Photo editing with Snapseed will be part of the instructions.
David knows all the best places to photograph in and around Santa Fe as well as being able to help travelers with questions regarding local restaurants, cultural activities, hiking, etc.

I have had 5 vaccinations and now that the Covid rules are being lifted I feel all taking the tour will be safe. We are always outside in the open air. Participants should feel free to bring and wear masks.

I consider myself a semi professional photographer. I shoot anything from astrophotography to mini sessions with kids. When I met David, he sat down with me and discussed my current knowledge and skills in photography in order to determine where I am lacking. Once I realized his artistic talent I knew I would see things differently after meeting with him. David is a true artist who caters to anyone who enjoys photography. I was amazed that most people only bring phone cameras to his class, but I want more from my photos. He is very patient and passionate about photography being a true art form. I highly recommend David.

I really learned a lot from this two-hour session with David. He is an excellent photographer and teacher as well. He offered wonderful insights on composition that I think will be beneficial in my painting as well as my photography. I really liked his teaching methods, and the camera roll from our session highlights well several of the concepts that we discussed. I brought my digital camera and cell phone and he helped me to capture some great photos of Santa Fe and the surrounding area. I really appreciate this lesson and it has inspired me to capture some of the moments and places that I may have taken for granted in the past. Thanks David!
