This photo class, and tour, is a unique experience in and around Santa Fe. Professional photographer David has been a Santa Fe resident for more than 30 years. Bring your digital camera, smartphone, or both. This photo class/tour is a great place to start here in Santa Fe. You will learn composition, portraiture, landscape photography, lowlight, camera functions, and lots more. This 2- hour photo-class/tour will be a fun and insightful photographic learning experience for you while getting to know Santa Fe. Photo editing with Snapseed will be part of the instructions.
David knows all the best places to photograph in and around Santa Fe as well as being able to help travelers with questions regarding local restaurants, cultural activities, hiking, etc.

Meeting a stranger on a street corner was a new way to start a class for me but it worked out okay. The class started outside in front of the museum with a quick explanation on composition and went on to some samples and practice photos. The second half of the class was all about the Snapseed App and took place in La Fonda’s Lounge. (There is no tour of Santa Fe in this package). We all ordered non-alcoholic drinks. SHOCKED when David asked us to pay for our soft drinks. After paying $85 for a 2 hour activity a drink should be included in that price

I quite enjoyed david hoptman’s approach to “seeing” forms in composition. He also taught me quite a lot about editing. He’s helpful and wants you to do something special in the frame. I liked the workshop very much
