This photo class, and tour, is a unique experience in and around Santa Fe. Professional photographer David has been a Santa Fe resident for more than 30 years. Bring your digital camera, smartphone, or both. This photo class/tour is a great place to start here in Santa Fe. You will learn composition, portraiture, landscape photography, lowlight, camera functions, and lots more. This 2- hour photo-class/tour will be a fun and insightful photographic learning experience for you while getting to know Santa Fe. Photo editing with Snapseed will be part of the instructions.
David knows all the best places to photograph in and around Santa Fe as well as being able to help travelers with questions regarding local restaurants, cultural activities, hiking, etc.

David's class was very good at teaching architecture, scenic, and portrait photography. His technique of iterative improvement in a photograph is probably not going to be effective in sports photography or anything where your subject is moving. Also, smart phones are not only welcome, they're practically required. Overall, well worth the time and expense.

What a great experience. I’ll be taking better photos from now on and manipulating them with the app. David did a great job of showing me how to compose a photo and had a good understanding of where most of us start out on the wrong foot. Highly recommended

The class was one of the best I’ve taken, and I teach for a living, so that’s high praise! David was a superb teacher, and his lessons were very concise and well-designed. We spent the afternoon after the class walking Santa Fe and taking photos, and we were able to immediately put the lessons into action. Our photos are infinitely better than before, and we’re having so much fun comparing our photos and making new ones. We’re even thinking of staying in town longer so we can do David’s half day class at Chamayo. Definitely do the class; you won’t regret it!
