A bit disappointed in this excursion. It was unclear where to meet from the information provided. The instructions said to meet at the winery and park in designated water to wine parking spots, not at the office which is down the road. Well, first we followed the signs which led us to the "office." No one was around so we went to the winery and asked. They said to go by the office. We drove back and our "guide" was there and said she could take us right away as we were the only two booked for our time slot. I had to use restroom first. There were portable two outhouses. I opened the first and a large swarm of flies inside caused me to quickly close the door and try the other one. That one only had 2 flies so I used it. The toilet was in dire need of emptying and it was out of toilet paper. oh well...onward. Our "guide" drove us to the entry site. Our rubber kayaks were waiting at the shore. The guide helped us get in the kayaks and told us how to put the paddle in the water, told us to lean into anything it looked like we were going to crash into, and said she would meet us at back at the exit point which was where our car was parked. After taking off, I noticed several spiders climbing on my legs. The website says they clean the equipment well, but my kayak looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while (hence the spiders).

We had a great time kayaking! It was so nice to be able to just float and take it at our own paceā€¦ very peaceful and fun. The winery was pretty and they had live music outside. The wine was good, although we were disappointed with the amount of wine included in a flight, especially considering the price. Itā€™s definitely worth it to get a bottle instead. But overall it was a great experience and would recommend to others!
