What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

We had a great time kayaking the Verde. Anthony and his team we fantastic. They were very friendly and knowledgably about the area and seem to really enjoy sharing their knowledge. I do highly recommend them if in the area. We did see a blue heron and horned owl which was cool!

So much fun! It was a beautiful, peaceful trip! There were a few “white water ripples” and I even took an accidental swim! I love adventure and wine and this trip was PERFECT!

Had an amazing adventure down the Verde River complete with wine tasting at the end. My husband and I were the only two people on the river - it was incredibly serene. Anthony was our guide and was fantastic!! Would not hesitate to book again!
