What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

Anthony and Danny are the BEST ever!!! Kayaking was so much fun and they gave EXCELLENT advice in reference to maximizing your credits at the winery! We’ll definitely be back!

This was a very fun trip! My wife and I were in Sedona at the end of February and decided to do the water to wine excursion. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing that we would do different next time is take the longer trip that Sedona Adventure Tours offers. The route was nice but would have liked to be on the water a little longer than 45 minutes. Check these guys out though! Would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Such a fun activity! As an amateur kayaker, the guides gave good instructions/tips and the kayaks themselves were very user friendly. A good mix of exciting, small rapids mixed with peaceful, calm stretches. We went one of the first weekends of the season in February, and were on the water for about 75 minutes (but this will vary based on the water level). We want to come back another time of year and see the difference in the trees/landscape!
