What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

I had no idea how many small rapids we'd get to float across so it was even more fun than I anticipated. The Verde Adventure crew is very pleasant (and humorous) and the winery was wonderful as well. I now want to do this every time I visit Sedona!

The kayaking was great! Beautiful scenery and very manageable for all experience levels. The wine experience was also very enjoyable. I really liked the voucher for the winery that could be used to taste wines, purchase food and/or merchandise. Plus the $40 voucher enabled us to experience the wine and also have some food. A great way to spend an afternoon!
