What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

If you like kayaking and wine, this is the activity for you. It is SO fun! The kayaking is a little over an hour, and your $20 voucher at the winery goes a long way. Honestly cannot recommend enough.

Great staff, not a lot of instruction, but we didn't really need much, just let the river do all the work. It was a very fun excursion.

So much fun!! We loved the trip down the river- a first for us and totally doable for anyone no matter experience level. The wine and food after was amazing. Like I wish I was there now reliving it. This adventure was a highlight of our Sedona vacation. A must do!
