What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

PERFECTION! Such a fun activity to do on our anniversary weekend getaway! We loved the kayaking (we could have gone longer it was so fun!) and then walking over to the winery to taste wine and nibble on delicious snacks was something we never knew we needed in our lives! Such a great time! We will book this adventure again!

Such a fun trip and something that doesn't take up the whole day. The river is really chill and I've kayaked but never with inflatable one so was different. The wine tasting after was great too- beautiful views and great ambiance. Was def crowded but they had an overflow area in the vineyard that was really chill and much more my scene. We also went to Montezuma castle afterwards which is about 15-20 min away. The guides were also all great and working hard to get us out!
