What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

We loved it! Relaxing float, if you paddle too much, it might end up only being a 45 mins kayak trip. Hoping they will add a longer version soon! We had a group of 6 adults and my 8 yo son and everyone loved it! Definitely glad they had a smaller kayak so he was able to be on his own. Would definitely book again next time in Sedona area.

The water-to-wine adventure is an absolute must for your Sedona itinerary. Our group spent 3 days in Arizona and this was our favorite activity on the trip. We had 2 first time kayakers and it was the perfect beginners course. The kayaking portion was about an hour and 40 minutes, followed by delicious wine in a gorgeous setting. 10/10! Will be back again!
