What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

Our party of 6 had a fantastic time on the Water to Wine Kayak tour! It was so relaxing and we saw all kinds of wildlife. The float was an easy pace with some fun elements along the way to keep us engaged. After we are assisted out of the water at the end we enjoyed some amazing wine in the middle of a beautiful winery. We will definately be taking all of our visitors on this perfect tour combo!

What an amazing time!! All the guys were great helping us out with the kayak pointers. So relaxing and fun!! The winery part of the experience seemed a bit disorganized coming out of Covid?? They were not prepared to accommodate us but their wines were delish! Would definitely do it again!!

What a great relaxing and fun experience. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. They explained everything clearly. Helped us get in and started and met us at the end and took pictures. The wine tasting was a great way to finish our excursion. I would totally recommend this excursion.
