What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

This was one of our favorite tours in Arizona! We loved everything about it. We are inexperienced kayakers but this is doable for anyone. When we were done, we wanted to kayak the river again! It was that much fun! It is absolutely beautiful and the winery at the end is a great way to finish off the experience.

Our group had a great time! Rafting was fun ... mostly slow flats with some small easy rapids (nothing scary) and beautiful scenery. We also enjoyed sitting outside at the winery listening to the live music. Highly recommend.
