What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

This was an awesome tour for my best friend and I to do during our stay in Sedona. The inflatable kayaks were new for me and I love how they maneuvered so well through the river. I’m glad we did the 11:00 tour as it was already a hot day even at that time. But the river felt amazing and the people working the tour were great!! It’s a full hour and a half kayaking down the river and then you have the rest of your time fo enjoy the beautiful winery.

LOVED every minute of it! Went with my college age kids and had a blast! It was so peaceful and relaxing. At the end we tried different wines at Alcantara Vineyard which we all enjoyed. This is a MUST DO on our list when we visit Sedona again. Don't pass this up!

HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP! Just got back from Sedona and this tour was by far my favorite part... it was so great getting out on the water, it was calm and not at all scary, got a good workout in and there were lots of laughs and giggles from myself, hubby and our two boys. Would for sure do this tour again and bring friends! The wine at the end was well deserved and we both enjoyed the ones we tried.
