What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

Wanting a unique memory from our vacation my wife and I decided to take this kayaking trip. We were not disappointed. The experience was incredible! The staff is fun and professional; the equipment well maintained. The river is beautiful and tranquil. There are easily navigated rapids throughout your journey. A great experience!!! (Note: My wife and I are 60+ years old; if we can do it so can you.)

I took my boy friend for his birthday and we loved it! It was just us two, so we got to go at our own pace and cruise. The little rapids were fun. We got to see a few different birds. It was an easy river. The wine tasting was great!! We got the cheese plate and the Suvignon Blanc, that was SO GOOD! We sat outside and watched the birds. We definitely recommend going on this adventure!
