We took our children (12, 7, 11) with us and we had a great time. We went in January so it was really cold, but still enjoyable. The crew was very professional and personable. You felt safe and accommodated. It was convenient to depart from the wharf. The highlight of course were the whales. It's worth the cold weather and bumpiness to get there. When we saw a humpback whale breaching that made it a once in a lifetime experience for us. We were floored by the beauty of the whales. Obviously, you don't see them up close. But that didn't take away from the humbling experience of seeing pods of whales blowing air and water in into the sky. The experience added to my already immense respect for animals and nature. You really feel dwarfed by their beauty. This excursion is definitely for nature lovers. I would recommend it for anyone 5 years old and up. If you love nature, don't have a propensity for motion sickness and have patience I highly recommend going on this journey.

We went out with Pete and team on 23rd December, my Birthday, and I was honoured that some wonderful Orca whales, 5 including a calf, made an appearance! We were lucky with the weather, which had been awful the previous day, but it was clear and sea fairly calm ! I chose Discovery Whale Watching as they are naturalist who actually log the whales and their excitement at there being new, unlogged calf with the pod was palpable! Pic attached which Pete took and shared (very good too, as my camera not up to much). Thanks guys. Would really recommend.

Definitely 5 stars. Kaitlyn was the crew she said and she was a delight. Helpful, checking on us and full of interesting information. The entire crew made sure we got see as many whales as we could. Really enjoyed Gregs commentary on whales and the general area and his keen eye for spotting.
