Great trip with numerous grey whale sightings. The Captain made every effort to put us in the best position to see and photograph the whales. Our naturalist provided the group with information about marine animals and the Monterey Bay. He made himself available to answer our questions one-to-one. We hope to be back to see the humpbacks later this year.

I was on the whale watching tour 10:00am-1:00pm on a Friday. When I checked in, they told me they were partnering with Chris Whale Watching. The boat, Caroline, was used for our trip. There were about 20 passengers. The boat was comfortable, with sufficient sitting and standing room for all. The only discomfort was the smell of exhaust, it was quite strong throughout the trip, especially in the rear of the boat. The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining and the water was pretty calm. We saw many gray whales. We saw a lot of spouts/spray and tails as they dove in the water. The view of the coastline and the waves crashing on the rocks is beautiful. Even in the sun, it is cold on the boat due to the wind and water, and you do get wet, so dress appropriately. The Captain was great at taking the boat close to the whales for prime viewing. We also saw some sea otters and sea lions as we departed the dock area. We returned to the dock between 1:30 and 2:00. All in all, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
