Excellent whale watching trip that is well worth the price for 3+ hours on the water. The crew are friendly, knowledgeable, very informative, and work hard to make sure you have a great experience. We saw gray whales, humpback whales, and even orcas on our trip. And of course lots of sea lions and sea birds. Oh, and an otter! Highly recommend booking with this company.

We were not sure what to expect because of the time of year. Within a few minutes of the tour we saw a couple of gray whales quite close to our boat. Then Eric (he was awesome btw...very knowledgeable about the marine life in the bay) announced that the captain (Chris, I think his name was) said that there was more interesting activity further out. After nearly 45 mins of tracking, we came across a pod of killer whales. This was really cool to see. They were hard to track. Isaiah was really good at spotting them! He was on top of the boat roof looking out for signs of where they were. Even after losing them for close to 15-20 mins, he was able to track them from very far away after they resurfaced! On our way back, we saw a couple of humpbacks and even caught a glimpse of 'George', the large male killer whale that we thought we saw 'harassing' a passing gray whale. We had gone so far out to see all this activity, that we were over our tour time. The crew went above and beyond to show us a good time. Only caution I would have is to bundle up as it was freezing on the boat the whole time.

A great experience! Checking in was very easy with nice staff members to greet us. Once we were on the boat the captain, naturalist and deck hand were all fantastic. Our kids had tons of questions and they were very happy to answer all of them. We saw many sea lions and a humpback whale. We highly recommend Discovery Whale Watch!!! We will definitely be back again.
