Overview

Our 4-day Half Dome guided backpacking tours are specially designed to make your journey to the summit as spectacular as possible! This guided tour kicks off in Yosemite Valley. From there we’ll hit the trail and guests will hike and camp alongside fabled waters like Sunrise Lakes or the Merced River. Our expert guides make your experience 5-star with delicious camp-cooked cuisine and comfort provisions around camp, while on-trail pointing out the lesser-known factual gems that surround you. The magic climaxes either on the final evening or the final morning, when you’ll climb the cables up Half Dome’s summit for a truly spectacular sunrise or sunset.

Myself an 6 girlfriends had an incredible 4 day journey with Lasting Adventures in Yosemite to summit Half Dome. Our guides we’re fun, professional, kind and wonderful camp cooks! Their intimate knowledge of Yosemite, it’s native history, and even each wildflower we passed enhanced our experience and grounded us in the land. We swam in crystal clear rivers, camped under the stars, hiked through amazing scenery and were met with the challenge of summiting Half Dome, which all took place safely thanks to our expert guides. I would highly recommend Lasting Adventures for anyone looking to dive into the best of what Yosemite has to offer!

My 14-year-old son and I just completed the Glacier Point to Half Dome backpacking trip with Lasting Adventures. It was an incredible experience. Our guides Mike and Lucy were fantastic. I highly recommend them. We would not have completed this on our own. The food was good, guides were extremely knowledgeable and pleasant, they picked great camping spots and were encouraging during the Half Dome cable climb. The administrative contacts were extremely helpful preparing us and answering questions leading up to the trip. I will use their service again should I have the opportunity. My wife and I visited Yosemite earlier in the year and wanted to return for a more extensive hiking trip. We were lucky to have Matt assigned as our guide. He took care of the all the details both big and small. It was evident that Matt had the necessary experience to guide a group of (mostly) 1st time backpackers through Yosemite. He put together delicious meals using a simple camping stove and shared his knowledge and love of all things Yosemite. The first day hike was picturesque along the Illilouette Creek. Our hike the next day culminated at Half Dome at sunset. These views were spectacular. We camped overnight in Little Yosemite Valley and hiked down the Mist Trail back to Yosemite Valley the following day. I highly recommend Lasting Adventures - they take care of all of the details and provide gear that would otherwise be a big investment for 1st time backpackers. The Half Dome hike is physically challenging but well worth the effort to see all that Yosemite has to offer.
