4-Hour St. Pete Pier to Egmont Key Tour

Overview

From the Pier to Paradise. You’ll sail by the beautiful shorelines of St. Pete, pass under the stunning Sunshine Skyway bridge and perhaps see a dolphin or two! This is the only charter offering service from downtown St. Petersburg traveling to Egmont Key and passing under the Sunshine Skyway.

You will have 2 hours on Egmont Key to explore the pristine beaches, historic lighthouse, ruins of Ft. Dade, and the amazing wildlife before your return trip. Please note you will have to step into shallow water when going on the island.

Unlike all other ferry services to Egmont Key, The Pelican St Pete will stay with you on the island - bathrooms and a bit of shade if needed, available the entire time.

Enjoyable trip. Through no fault of the boat tour company, the Egmont Island is not well cared for. Whoever is in charge of the island needs to have some money and initiative to make some improvements and make it look more attractive. There is a really ugly tool yard with heavy equipment, that is where the boat pulls in. Otherwise the boat trip was nice and we had beautiful weather. The turtles on the island were an extra nice feature.

November 2022 trip - We made it on the boat, but were told we could not go to Edgmont Pier because the water was too rough. ALSO, we found out on the boat, that the pier for the key requires wading from knee to waste deep and other guests did not have swim suits for the wading as they were unaware of this condition. This should be in the advertisement AND on the ticket that spare clothes or bathing suits required. All on the boat, they offered to do a manatee boat trip with a partial refund. We accepted. Didn't see a manatee nor my partial refund. NOTE: There is a ferry that will take you to Edgmont Pier from Fort De Soto park. I bet the ferry would have got us to our destination. Regardless, completely unacceptable to offer a refund and not issue it within 24 hours. Staff and boat were nice. Customer service non-existent.

This was one of the best things we did while on vacation in FL. My family of 4 had a great time, had a great Captain and the crew was fun. I highly recommend this, well worth the money!
