The end of July we went on our first sea cruise experience with P&O ship Iona to Norwegian Fjords. I have read a lot of extremely critical reviews and was somewhat nervous about the experience; however we had an amazing time. The ship is bright, spotlessly clean and feels as new as it is. The food was varied and good quality, the service excellent and friendly. The freedom dining is brilliant and we never had to wait long for a table and enjoyed eating in all the main dining rooms, Horizon, The Quays, The Olive Grove and Sindhu. Yes, the pools were over run with children but it was the summer holidays and we always managed to find a whirl pool to relax in instead. The entertainment was good and varied. There was never a shortage of sun loungers or space in the bars/restaurants and it really did not feel as if there were nearly 5,000 passengers on board. We would definitely go again and judging by the queues waiting to book their next P&O cruise so would a huge number of other people too!

It was over packed, and some of the people who had already been on the tour were so loud you couldnā€™t even hear the person that was narrating because they had already seen what others wanted to see.
