Walking tour takes place before the museum entry and is approximately 2 hours.
For visitors entering the museum the average museum visit takes approximately 1.5 to 2 additional hours, depending on your pace. Please plan your schedule accordingly.
Guide does not enter 9/11 Museum, if chosen this portion of the visit is self guided.

What To Expect

The National 9/11 Memorial & Museum

Learn the significance and symbolic design of the 9/11 Memorial from your guide, then spend some time reflecting near the pools. Entrance to the 9/11 Memorial is included for all visitors. To visit the 9/11 Museum at the conclusion of your walking tour please select add museum at time of booking. Museum entry will extend the total tour duration by approximately 2 hours depending on your pace. Museum visits are self guided; plan around two hours to take in all the exhibitions.

FDNY Memorial Wall

See the Bronze Memorial, dedicated to the FDNY firefighters who were lost on September 11th.

St. Paul's Chapel

Tour starts at St. Paul's Chapel. It played a significant role in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks.

Brookfield Place

Visit the Winter Garden and the North Cove Marina to take photos of the World Trade Center from another angle and hear stories about the evacuation efforts on the Hudson River on 9/11.

World Trade Center's Liberty Park

Visit Liberty Park, which overlooks the 9/11 Memorial, and is home to Fritz Koenig's There and America's Response Monument.

The Oculus

I found this tour insightful, enlightening, informative and very respectful! Debbie, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable, witty and entertaining. Her personal stories were a highlight. Most importantly, the tour is a respectful journey to remind one of the 9/11 tragedy and to give hope for the future!

Highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Jim was perfect. He was serious and somber when it called for it but also had a bag full of appropriate humor to offset what could be overly heavy. Having him show you around the area is much better than trying to find everything yourself. Well worth the money spent.

We really liked this tour, a lot of information and things you would not see if you just walked through the area on your own. We did the tour and then the museum - honestly the tour was much better than the museum. If you can only do one I highly recommend the tour. You'll also see places like the Oculus and will probably want to come back after the tour or on another day to spend more time.
