Overview

Enjoy a one and a half hour South Padre Island Dolphin Watch aboard the newly renovated Murphy's Law and see Atlantic Bottle-nose Dolphins in their natural habitat. During the tour, listen to the interesting and informative narration on the diverse marine life that lives within the waters surrounding South Padre Island. Keep an eye out for a 'pod', which may consist of 10 to 30 dolphins. The guided tour will also include the southernmost U.S. Coast Guard Station, Boca Chica Beach, the current location of Space X, and the South Padre Island Jetties...entryway to the Brownsville Ship Channel where one of the largest Shrimp Fleet calls home. Then end it with a unique view of a beautiful south Texas sunset right there on the water! Very affordable. No shortage of dolphins. Went at 1PM during a weekday in November and there weren't many other visitors. Was a nice early-afternoon activity.

I loved learning about the island! The weather was perfect the day we went on our tour (yesterday). We were able to see dolphins as well as jellyfish! We saw dolphins jumping through our wake!! I held a starfish at the end of the tour. And had the opportunity to hold a butterfly stingray!! As beautiful as it was I had to pass because I was scared I would drop it lol. Thank you again. My cousin and I had the times of our lives!!

My husband and I loved the tour! I am especially happy that the captain and first mate took the time to rescue a sea turtle who had fishing line wrapped all around him. It meant we were stopped and in one spot for longer than expected. The care and concern I witnessed was heartwarming as they worked together to maneuver the boat and a large Rubbermaid garbage can and hook to capture the injured turtle. They also contacted Sea Turtle, Inc., to meet us and pick up the injured turtle. Sadly, the turtle did not make it, but it made for a very exciting, unexpected part of the trip!! The captain was entertaining and informative, and we did manage to see dolphins in various locations. You can bring along your own snacks and beverages, but be advised that the movement of the vessel with the waves rocking the boat will make it somewhat difficult to eat and drink at times. It was a very enjoyable tour! Go and enjoy!! (My photos of them rescuing the turtle are too large to upload. Sorry!!)
