Overview

What better way to start your day than to slip into the refreshing waters of Turtle Canyon and swim with amazing green sea turtles, beautiful tropical fish, and other incredible marine life? Our snorkel guides help you feel confident, safe and at ease as you dive in and explore the beauty just below the surface. Our guides specialize in showing you not only turtles, but also hidden creatures such as a tako (octopus), vana (sea urchin), and so much more! We provide snorkels, masks, fins and snorkel vests to get you out there exploring all the remarkable sea life below!

After we've finished snorkeling, we'll hoist the sails and set out around Diamond Head on the search for Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins, and in the winter months, we'll be on the lookout for Humpback Whales making their yearly migration. Stretch out on the nets, relax and enjoy complimentary snacks as we cruise along some of the most beautiful scenery on the island!

Everything went super smooth. The team were friendly, helpful and funny. We especially liked that we had a guide that got in the water with us and directed us where to go. We saw many turtles and many schools of tropical fish!! The guide knew when turtles were coming up for air so we were able to get pretty close! We also loved the cocktails aboard. We will definitely recommend!!

Holokai was a very professional and friendly operation. They were good with communication about what to bring and where to meet. I was particularly impressed with how clearly they articulated respecting the animals’ space-not touching or harassing them. When a turtle came near, they made sure that people backed away to at least the required (by law) 6 feet. The turtles themselves are amazing. They don’t seem to really notice you are there and swim by and around you doing their thing. There were about 4-5 kinds of fish all around, along with an octopus, but I wouldn’t call it a “vibrant” reef. I’m not sure if it should be colorful and really full of life but it looked largely dead. That said, it’s worth it for the turtles alone.

Aloha, Thank you for your kind review! We love when our guests are able to see the honu up-close in their homes. Unfortunately, the reef isn't as vibrant as it may have once been, which is why we are so keen on reef safe sunscreen, staying far enough away from the turtles and reef, and making sure all trash and garbage makes its way into the garbage and not our ocean. Service was great and sailing was beautiful. Turtle Canyon is crowded for snorkeling but we did get to see lots of turtles.
