Overview

Pennsylvania is home to a fascinating culture found in the rural farmlands outside of Philadelphia. Join our tour to understand the complex history and lifestyle of the Amish community and dispel the myths of a much misunderstood people.

Your tour starts with a ride in our comfortable van out to the idyllic countryside of Lancaster County, where you’ll hear about the beginnings of Amish culture in the United States and see farmers hard at work in their fields.

Your local guide will fully immerse you in the way of life here with a visit to an 1800s farmhouse, and your included admission to the Amish Village Museum will give you a deeper appreciation for the traditions and philosophies of the Amish communities.

We’ll have time for stops in small towns highlighting Amish-made goods, including quilt shops, bakeries, and road-side stands. Best yet, you’ll have the chance to support the community with your food purchases, with unique options recommended by your guide!

This was our first time to Philadelphia and we knew we wanted to take a day to see Pennsylvania Dutch Country. We were back and forth on renting a car and exploring on our own or taking a guided tour. We are beyond happy we chose this tour! WeVenture picked us up in Philly and drove us out to Amish Country. We were able to explore so many villages and there is no way we would have found any of the stops on our own, plus Adams’s knowledge of the area and recommendations for the rest of our trip were absolutely priceless. Our guide was Dale and we had a great experience! He told us great facts as we left the city. He was knowledgeable and so kind. He answered a lot of questions!! He took us to several places in the Amish community so we got immersed in the Amish experience! We went on a buggy ride, we had pretzels and milkshakes in the countryside! We saw quilts, schools and so much more than we expected! It was well worth the money to see all the places and have that personnel interaction all day. Definitely recommend
