A Day in Amish Country

Overview

Pennsylvania is home to a fascinating culture found in the rural farmlands outside of Philadelphia. Join our tour to understand the complex history and lifestyle of the Amish community and dispel the myths of a much misunderstood people.

Your tour starts with a ride in our comfortable van out to the idyllic countryside of Lancaster County, where you’ll hear about the beginnings of Amish culture in the United States and see farmers hard at work in their fields.

Your local guide will fully immerse you in the way of life here with a visit to an 1800s farmhouse, and your included admission to the Amish Village Museum will give you a deeper appreciation for the traditions and philosophies of the Amish communities.

We’ll have time for stops in small towns highlighting Amish-made goods, including quilt shops, bakeries, and road-side stands. Best yet, you’ll have the chance to support the community with your food purchases, with unique options recommended by your guide!

My teen daughter and I enjoyed this all day tour on the most beautiful Fall day. Our guide Dale was very knowledgeable and had so many interesting stories and anecdotes to share about the Amish. We visited workshops (impressive quality!) and working farms, went on a buggy ride. He offered choices about where to go and what to do which made the tour feel personalized. Everyone in our small group seemed very happy.

My husband Marcus and me, Petra, had a gorgeous day trip to the Amish people in Lancaster County. Our Guide Tom was an excellent driver and wonderful Tour Guide. He explained everything to us and answered aaaaaalllll our questions with an absolute passion for what he is doing. He showed us hidden spots to get a really good impression of the Amish Lifestyle. We are more than happy with this unique experience of what we learned today. It was a very good decision not to go there on our own, but to book that Tour with WeVenture. We couldn’t imagine a better guide than Tom and can warmly recommend Tours with him. The bus was very comfortable too and the other guest, Christina, was such a lovely companion too. Thank you soo much, Tom, for doing such a passionate job. 👌🏼💐
