Management could definitely improve on the number of slides offered as they removed a bunch of slides and have failed to replace all of them with new slides. Management could also improve the food quality. There is nothing other than burgers, Pizza, and bbq here. Very glad managment actually added a bar with liquor instead of premixed drinks. Very sad to see the taco and fajita place closed. I wish management could bring tacos and fajitas back! Management could improve upon their level of tropical and exotic theming throughout the park to convey a more far away land than just typical Florida style buildings and landscaping like they did with aquatic and volcano bay.
As for as how I would rank all Florida Waterparks, I rate Universal's Volcano Bay Resort #1, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon #2, SeaWorld's Aquatica #3, Disney's Blizzard Beach #4, and Busch Gardens' Adventure Island #5 but it is #1 in Tampa haha.
If you're in the Tampa area and looking for some fun water rides, Adventure Island Water Park is a definitely a great option! However, if you're looking for a more exotic water park, you may have to take a trip to Orlando! I've grown up going to Adventure Island Water Park and still enjoy going! While I liked the parks slide selection better in 2017, I still always have a great time at the park and look forward to the park being open year-round and look forward to the new rides coming in 2020!
