What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

The overall experience was great but some details made it not exceptional. The majority of the balloons flew over the mountains and the lake, we could se them from afar because we flew in the opposite direction and spent a long time still above the highway. I’m sure their view was better than ours. The captain was kinda rude and barely said anything about the flight or gave us any information, so there was some awkward silence sometimes. After landing, they set up the table in the desert, which was nice, but when I asked which one was the vegetarian food, which I made sure they had for us by calling directly, the captain looked annoyed and said they were all vegetarian, even though others said the mini pizza was not. I’m not sure about the captain’s name, he was an older big guy with a beard and long hair in a braid. Overall it was fun and different. I would recommend it for a special occasion, we were celebrating my son’s birthday and he enjoyed it.

What a wonderful, fun experience! Our pilot and crew were delightful! I’ve never been one to enjoy heights.... this flight was incredible. Easy to book. Easy to ride!!

Rescheduled for Sunday, February 21. Canceled due to Highwinds on February 15. Balloon pilot Don and ground handler Elise were incredible and deserve outstanding accolades as the best in the business
