What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

My daughter and I went on our first balloon ride with Captain Don yesterday afternoon. It was such an awesome experience. I am scared to death of heights but Captain Don was knowledgeable and very capable, and quickly put my mind at ease. It was a beautiful ride and afterward we had champagne and snacks while watching the sun set. I would highly recommend this company for hot air ballooning.

I’ll be honest, I was pretty excited for this ballon ride. I had always wanted to go on one, so my expectations were pretty high. This somehow surpassed them. It was so cool to watch them launch streaming flames into the balloon to inflate it and tip the basket upright. Lifting off was incredible. Soaring at over 6,000 ft above the ground, there was so much to see. We were in the air for roughly 50 mins, but it felt like 20. As we approached our landing area, we cruised 10 or 20 feet above the desert landscape for about 500 yards, which felt like a magic carpet ride. When we landed we watched as they deflated the balloon, and pulled out tables for a candlelit champagne / hors d’oeuvres nightcap as the sun set fiery orange and red. A great toast by our pilot Don put a bow on what was a truly unique and unforgettable bucket list excursion. If you are considering a balloon trip in the slightest, these guys do it right. Ask for Don, he was a delight.

It was our first time and we saw a beautiful sunset followed by champagne and food. The ride was very smooth and all flight crew members were very friendly. Highly recommend!
