What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

The whole crew was wonderful- Colton and Elisa were amazing on the ground! Our pilot was Don, and although he's a bit of a unique character, I didn't mind his dry sense of humor. He's been flying for more than 35 years, so we felt completely safe and in good hands with him. I will say, if we weren't asking him questions, he was very quiet in the air. I do wish there was a little more of a "tour" in the air- maybe pointing things out as we float along. Regardless, it was an enjoyable and amazing experience. Would absolutely do it again.

5 stars isn't enough! I'd give 10 if I could! From the time Jim picked me up, through the time I returned to my room, I had a BLAST!!! The entire flight crew, Jim, Johnathan (pilot), Jeremy (support) and Phil (support) were knowledgeable, thorough with instructions, and accommodating (and nice eye candy 🙂). The afternoon flight was great and watching the sunset while eating gourmet chef prepared snacks and sipping champagne was outstanding. This excursion was worth EVERY penny! 4 hours of my life well spent. I HIGHLY recommend it. Even the landing was fun!!! The absolute BEST excursion I've EVER done! *Sorry for the sideways pics. I tried to turn them but was unsuccessful when posting.
