What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

We had a beautiful day for this experience. We learned so much about hot air ballooning from our pilot, Craig. He made the experience so much fun with simple tools like a child’s toy plastic parachutist. Blowing bubbles at 3,000 feet was so cool watching them float up & down on the wind currents. Our sunset champagne toast and meal were superb! Much thanks to Craig and his crew—Bellamy, Jayden & Ken—for making our day so unique!!!

We have wanted to do a hot air balloon ride for a long time and we finally got our chance. Craig was our pilot, he was very knowledgeable, helpful and you could tell he loved his job. Jim was our driver and he made the drive out to the launch site enjoyable. Overall great experience and would recommend it to anyone.

21st birthday celebration - Happy Birthday banner on the balloon, then when two balloons from another company flipped over in the wind while still on the ground, we went right up, and had a fantastic view of the snow on the mountains and sun dogs in the sunset.
