What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

This flight was fun though there were some things that could be better. The pilot, Robert England was a very good pilot though quite curmudgeonly. We were the last balloon up and the first down. The flight was about 30 (no wind - no one's fault) minutes with another 20 on the ground waiting for the chaser vans. It was definitely not enough air time. The other balloons were up much longer. Everything else was as expected and enjoyable. One suggestion is hot drinks in the winter instead of Martinellis. It was chilly! Enjoyed the hor d'oeuvres and the company!

We went out for our first balloon ride and they did not disappoint. Jonathan was an excellent pilot and added a real zeal to the experience. He was so informative and has a passion for ballooning and making our flight a truly enjoyable adventure. Marcus and his ground crew where top notch from check in to drop off they where the best. If you can get this trio to handle your flight you will not be disappointed.
