Drive your own sled-dog team with 4 time Iditarod winner Dallas Seavey's team of mushers, handlers and champion dogs on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a huge snow eld high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with champion sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for an exhilarating ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, listen to stories about running sled dog races of over a 1,000 miles long, and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses.

If you have only time for one activity during your visit to Alaska, this is the one. Te views of the glacier are unforgettable and the Dog sled operation is quiet impressive. Everyone was kind and experienced! A big wow to this activity. Probably one of the best I have ever had!

My pilot was amazing! The flight to and from the dog camp was spectacular in itself. As for the dog camp, I could have easily doubled the time we had. My musher, Courtney, was not only knowledgeable, but her passion for the dogs and the sport we’re captivating. This was a great experience! I plan to do it again next time I come to Alaska.

My sister and I did the helicopter and dogsled tour on our most recent trip to Alaska. It was truly a unique travel experience! The flight was smooth and we had great scenic views. When we arrived at base camp the dogs were visibly excited to see us and so happy! The staff at the base camp were very friendly and knowledgeable. We forgot our sunglasses and they provided brand new pairs for each of us. We did a 2 mile loop with the dogs and had a blast while learning more about their training schedule. After the dogsledding we stopped at a glacier for pictures and a taste of fresh glacier stream water! We didn’t have a water bottle so our pilot generously provided one for us. We would recommend bringing your own when you go. The only potential hiccup was that they asked us if we could move our flight time, but they gave us plenty of advance notice and that was no problem. They even threw in a photo and video package to compensate us for any inconvenience. Overall this was truly one of the most amazing travel experiences we’ve had and we are highly highly recommending it to all of our friends and family. If you’re on the fence just book it! You won’t regret it.
