What To Expect

Kachemak Bay State Park

Take a 2-hour (or longer) trip out on the water, catered to whatever your interests might be. Go see humpback and orca whales, birds, sea otters, or just check out the landscape as you cruise into deeper bays that push up against mountains and waterfalls. You can even choose what time of day to go. Are you into photography? Tailer your trip, depart early morning or late evening to capture images in the best light.

Best tour on the bay. Small boat, lots of room to walk around and photograph. Captain was a pleasure and very knowledgeable.

This is our 3rd trip with Coldwater and Captain John. Amazing experience! Captain John is awesome. We saw rafts of otters, a minke whale, humpback spouts, loons and puffins. Looking forward to another trip on Friday.

This was our second time using Coldwater taxi to go across Kachemak Bay to Right Beach. Captain John was the perfect salty sea captain for our trip! He shared tales of his sea adventures which had our jaw dropping and revealed his true love for his job. He went the extra mile to help us walk our luggage to our truck since he had a little time between charters. The entire experience was top notch and we highly recommend using Coldwater any chance you get.
