My son waited a long time to see this museum so we decided to take him for his 13th birthday. He had a wonderful time! We spent a good three hours in the museum, we did skip some sections as they didn't interest us. My son and I really enjoyed the Gem exhibit! We started on the 4th floor with the dinosaurs and worked our way back down which was a good way to go through I thought since it starts at the beginning and works its way forward. My younger son really wanted to see the Easter Island statue and was a little disappointed that it was only a replica but all in all we had a great time!

Pretty great! Three of us went during a rainy Sunday, it was busy but not packed. Really enjoyed most of the museum, some of the non-animal exhibits were yawners, but something there for everyone. It has fascinating and realistic animal dioramas and a large collection of dinosaur fossils including a t-rex. There’s room for improvement, signage could be greatly improved, it’s very confusing to get around even with the museum map. Also too many gift shops, not enough restrooms, stair cases to go to different floors are separated, for instance in one area when taking staircase from floor 2 to 1, the stairs to the lower level (below floor don’t continue in same spot, frustrating.

What a wonderful museum to visit and enjoy the day in. We spend a couple of hours there because of our schedule but you can easily spend 5-6 hours in the museum.
