Amish Experience Visit-In-Person Tour

Overview
Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

This tour is fantastic! Prior to discovering the Amish Experience In-Person Tour, I had hoped to be able to meet with Amish people directly to learn more about their life. Then, lo and behold, I saw an add for this in our hotel guidebook. My wish to get up close and personal with the Amish was answered and yours will be, too, if you take this tour! Our tour guide, Kent, was great and shared a lot of helpful information about the Amish. Our trip included a visit to an Amish dairy farm and a cabinetmaker. The third stop—and my absolute favorite—was visiting with an Amish couple and their four children. We sat in their kitchen for about an hour and were able to ask them questions and discuss their life and beliefs. They were so warm, open and welcoming. It was an absolutely wonderful experience! If you want to learn more about the Amish in a real and authentic way, take this tour. It's memorable!

So glad you found our information at the hotel. Doing the VIP tour, people usually stay overnight, so it was good you had your place already booked.

WOW!! This is a very educational and enlightening tour. Our tour guide was DeAnna and she was FABULOUS, LOVED HER!!! We visited an Amish farm that milked cows to make butter, then visited a gentlemen that makes Amish Buggies and carriages, and then we got to visit an Amish home and sit down to have a chat. It was great to learn so much about the Amish and their way of life and to learn of the misconceptions I've developed and came home to tell my children all about it and now they want me to take them too. I was a really nice way to spend an evening.

My sisters, Terri, Starr and I visited Lancaster in memory of our mother who so wished to visit here again but passed away in 2020 before we could do so. We decided to do the Amish Experience to see first hand a way of life that we admire. It was AMAZING! Everyone we met from our tour guide, Kent, to the families who opened their doors and lives to us were so knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Highly recommended this adventure.
