Amish Experience Visit-In-Person Tour

Overview
Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

The movie and schoolhouse were interesting as well as educational. The bus tour was quick. I only say that because we had to wait for three ladies so it made the tour late getting started. So the driver drove very quickly throughout the Amish communities. He was awesome though and he knew a lot. It made us late for the schoolhouse/house tour. The buggy ride was tight. It was a small buggy and they crammed four of us in it and we were not small people. But the driver; an elderly Amish man was very nice and chatted the whole 20 minutes of the ride. We had bought the package so the ride was included. We sat waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Finally my husband had to approach for a second time to remind them that we were waiting for our turn. All in all, it was a good way to learn and see the culture of the Amish people. We did enjoy the experience.

I enjoyed this tour a lot. It gave us an upclose and personal view of the Amish people, who they are and how they live. Joe was a great guide.
