Holy moly. This trip was amazing. The crew was amazing... We brought snacks and cider and just enjoyed the day. We saw a mom and baby humpback BREACHING which was such a big deal, even the crew were excited. We also saw a small pod of orcas hunting. Very Nat Geo this day. The crew were knowledgeable about the transients and also the humpbacks. Very willing to answer questions and educate us on everything. The absolute best trip we have had on the water, and we are locals. We had family in town from Wisconsin, and that was their first time on the ocean, so the couldnā€™t have been better. I have family coming into town in a couple of weeks and will be booking then as well. The boats are smaller than other companies so we were able to get a bit closer and it was way less crowded...maybe 30 or so people. Perfect.

Captain Dave and our naturalist Brooke made the trip memorable by their enthusiasm and knowledge. We saw four species of cetaceans and it was the first time for Brooke and she was very excited. We saw a feeding gray whale, a local humpback named Scratchy, a pod of transient orcas twice and two minke whales. I have already booked another trip for August.

Earlier in the day it had been pouring rain, but we did the afternoon tour and managed to get some sun and decent weather. Overall I would recommend this tour to anyone. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Our captain Matt did a great job. We saw a resident humpback whale less than 30 minutes into the tour, as well as sea lions. We also managed to see a pod of orchas closer to Canadian waters for a good 20 - 30 minutes.
