I've lived in the NW Washington area for decades. Experienced my first whale watching trip today. We chose the Anacortes location, and I am SO glad we did. The drive to Anacortes is gorgeous, mid week, no major traffic. Skyline Marina is gorgeous, not crowded, parking was a breeze. Captain Matt was Amazing. The Naturists, were wonderful. I'm afraid I did not write down their names, and with senioritis, have promptly forgotten. I'm keeping fingers crossed and hoping I'm correct...Ashley and Brooke. Our journey took us just into Canadian waters. Our first, a humpback, played and stayed long enough for some amazing pictures, and time just taking in the the beauty and sheer size of these glorious creatures. We were also able to enjoy a momma and baby humpback from a distance for a short period of time, prior to our return to the marina Our naturists shared so much great information about our whales, in our case humpbacks. First thing I did when I got home was to grab my husband, a calendar, credit card and phone, and book a trip for mid June. I'm sure we will become frequent guests of Outer Island Excursions. Thank you for making this experience SO special.

I have been sailing with Outer Island Expeditions for a few years now. I return several times during the season with them. The experience is always different each time I go out. There is never a bad day out on the waterā€”only good days made better with whale sightings. My most excellent crew: Captain Matt, Alex, and Brooke. See you guys on June 14.
