We've done this tour twice now, both times from Anacortes. The guides are knowledgable, and we've seen whales both times. The first tour we saw a grey whale, and it happened to come so close that we could smell its breath, the second time we saw quite a few orcas, none as close as that first trip, but that's totally ok, it is for the whales' safety! That's why we're watching from a boat and not from Sea World.

This was the first trip my family and I have ever taken for whale watching and it was definitely worth it. We took the tour out of Anacortes, WA. PROS: 1. The staff. They were very friendly, informative and responsive especially to my 7 year old enthusiastic son. 2. The boat was very comfortable and safe. 3. The tour was amazing. We were able to see two humpback whales and a couple of Minke whales on the trip along with harbor seals, sea lions, and a couple of bald eagles. 4. Length of time. Our tour from start to finish was roughly 5.5 hours. A big part of the reason is due to the amount of activity that we saw from the humpback whales. Definitely gave us our money's worth. CONS: 1. The location for the tour is a bit perplexing as the meeting place was a truck with signage in the marina office complex. 2. The parking for participants of the tour was not in the office complex parking lot, but one one of the street side parking spots. Again a bit confusing but nothing major. All in all I highly recommend this tour. It was fun and engaging to see the different whales and sea life while also getting a better understanding of the animals we were seeing.

We took the whale watching tour today from Anacortes with Captain Matt, and it was an amazing experience!! Honestly, it could not have been any better. We saw many orcas, seals, harbor porpoises, and a bald eagle. We learned so much and it has definitely been the highlight of our trip thus far. I know we'll treasure this experience forever! I would very highly recommend these guys to everybody!
