Being on the boat itself was a wonderful experience. Captain Drew and the girls Aubrey and Beth were so approachable and attentive, I really enjoyed how they rotated the groups every 10 minutes so everyone gets a good view. We learned so much about everything we saw and the waters we were in. The views around Anacortes are gorgeous, the hills and mountains. We had a clear beautiful view of mount Baker. AND !!!! They brought us to PODS OF ORCAS!!! Which were AMAZING! And I appreciated how careful they were to keep these beautiful creatures safe. To see these beautiful animals in their natural habitat was a DREAM COME TRUE. Thank you Anacortes whale watching!! Another bucketlist, check! Friendly staff, saw beautiful Orcas and porpoise whales. Would recommend and look forward to returning.

J Pod entertained us for an hour, with song and dance. One crew member put a mike in the water and we could hear the Orcas talk to each other! Stellar Seals were a bonus, as was a humback whale. The captain was lighthearted and corny but also informative as were the two crew members who mingled with the crowd with lots of marine info. Good day!
