What To Expect
1
Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

This was a tremendous trip! We met the van at the tour HQ and Scott was prompt, polite and knowledgeable. The van was clean and comfortable with cold drinks and snacks for everyone. Our guide shared really interesting tips all the way to our destination and was knowledgeable when we asked him questions. Our first stop was Antelope Canyon, which had some of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. This is NOT an excursion for people who have mobility issues or who are claustrophobic! My mother (63) and aunt (75) had a really difficult time navigating the hike despite the description online that said nearly anyone could do it. I strongly recommend those who are not able to climb ladders (up and down), navigate tight corners, hike through difficult terrain, etc., skip this stop. For those up to the challenge, it definitely didn't disappoint. After a delicious picnic lunch at the dam, we headed over to Horseshoe Bend. Again, this is not an easy location to get to. The hike is through thick sand and uneven rocks and is uphill both ways. Our guide took some great photos for us and pointed out some of the best places to stand to take it all in. I would book with this company again in a heartbeat. Great service and our favorite day and tour in Flagstaff!

This is our first time trip to visit Flagstaff, Arizona, and we have made a good decision by joining this Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend Tour with Grand Canyon Adventures. Our Tour Guide, Jennifer Barnes, is really awesome and very knowledgeable and friendly. Jen has given us in-depth information about these places, its history and the people and its cultures. It was really an enjoyable trip and we are very lucky to have Jen as our Tour Guide today.
