What To Expect

Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where you’ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

The entire trip was a joy. Our driver and first guide, Milton, told us so much about his experiences growing up on the Navajo Reservation and his experiences working, about the areas we drove through and their history and stories. He was great. Horseshoe Bend was gorgeous, and he even had large sun umbrellas for us. Our guide through Antelope Canyon was also superb, and again we learned a great deal. It was so beautiful.

Our tour guide (I think his name was Steve! But I am pretty bad at names) was really knowledgeable about Flagstaff, the stops we made, and Navajo nation! He was friendly and helpful throughout the journey. All of the staff that I encountered for this company were super sweet as well, from the staff on the phone confirming my trip/meal restrictions, to our guide, and even the folks at the gift shop at the end. Our Navajo guide for Antelope Canyon, Eli (I think!) was also awesome! He was super helpful with photo tips inside the canyon, took amazing portraits of us on our phones, and told us about Navajo life, traditions, clothes, stories, etc. Overall, an amazing little getaway! After doing A LOT of driving to various sites by myself for a few days, it was nice to kick back and take in the scenery and listen to some fun facts :)

This excursion was by far one of the best tours I’ve been on. The tour guide Matt was nice, informative and friendly. The views were to die for. Everything was timed perfectly from the pick up, bathroom breaks and a nice lunch. We were called a few days in advance to confirm pick up time and meeting location. I recommend this tour 100 %
