What To Expect
1
Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

Our guide, Dan, was knowledgeable and extremely polite and accommodating. This adventure is perfect in that it combines a visit to Horseshoe Bend in the morning for approximately an hour with a full tour of Antelope Canyon in the afternoon. Both locations are truly breathtaking!

My husband and I took this tour from Flagstaff to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon in October. I can't say enough about how wonderful our day was. Evan, our guide, was very knowledgeable and welcomed any questions we had along the way. We had snacks and water in the van, and a wonderful lunch at Lake Powell. It was a perfect, stress-free day and we saw some amazing scenery.

After the long drive to get from California to Flagstaff, we decided to let someone else do the driving so that we could see Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, and Glen Canyon Dam. The guide made the trip even better than we expected. He was knowledgeable about each site, the history (both geological and human), and current affairs. The driver/guide stayed to the schedule without making us feel rushed. The tour included a picnic-style lunch (choice of meat and cheese requested at time of booking) chips, salad, fruit, and plenty of water. The driver was upbeat, entertaining, and able to answer all questions.
