What To Expect
1
Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

This trip was a highlight . Antelope Canyon absolutely amazing. Worth the long drive. Our only issue was whether or not we could get picked up from our Flagstaff hotel - advice was conflicting and we were unable to arrange. We had to catch a taxi - and tour went past front door (nearly an hour after we had had to leave) Brochure says they do hotel pick ups....... Lunch was good. Snacks - US style packaged sugary or salty .

The Antelope Canyon part of this tour was wonderful, with excellent Navajo guides, and mind boggling caverns underground. You really get to be there and soak it in. Horseshoe Bend itself is amazing, but you don't really get to spend time with the experience because basically it's just a view. What actually happens is a long drive, arrival at a big parking lot, a billion people from different tours all walking down a path to the overlook, the look, the same billion people all crowding onto the secured platform to take photos, a lot of heat, then back on the bus. In retrospect, I should have done a tour that involved actually getting down on the river and really being there. Our tour guide was very nice, gave us a lot of interesting information, and made sure we got everything we paid for to the best of his ability. So, I give it a good solid. We took the Complete Grand Canyon Tour the day before, through Trip Adviser and the same touring company, and that tour was solid A+ all the way.

I highly recommend this tour. It was great not having to do the driving and just take in the beautiful views. The lunches are filling and there are snacks and plenty of stops. I only wish there was more time at horse shoe bend tourist are all over and it takes time to do pics. Loved the antelope tour, the guides are super helpful at getting you photos and despite the tourist crowding the caves they can space out everyone so people arenā€™t in the way and bombing your pics. Perfect day out. Thank you GCA.
