What To Expect
1
Horseshoe Bend
1 mile hike trail, which is both uphill and downhill. After that you'll get close enough from the edge, if you can Lol - that is about 1,000 feet down - to a rock formation in the Colorado River. Horseshoe Bend is the top attraction in both the Lake Powell and Page-AZ areas.Ā  5$ entrance fee
2
Antelope Canyon
90min tour through the Antelope Canyon with a certified Navajo guide to see red sandstone walls with corkscrew formations, illuminated by sunlight coming down into the slots, which are simply breathtaking.Ā  This colorful canyon is famously long and narrow with a walkable corridor at the bottom of the canyon floor. It was formed by flash floods flowing into the cracks of the Navajo sandstone which was then eroded by wind. Daylight penetrating through the narrow opening at the top creates different kinds of reflected light and colors. Antelope is the most visited slot canyon in the Southwest, partly because it is easily accessible and by far the most publicized, and also since it is so gorgeous and stunning, with just the right combination of depth, width, length, rock color and ambient light that makes this area a popular location for photographers and tourists from all the world.Ā  Entrance fee between 40.00 and 60.00
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Wonderful and Gorgeous Dam in Page. Nice view of the Canyon and Lake Powell.

Marvin is marvelous, he is very friendly and personal. He is a very safe driver and he knows the canyon well and he brought us to the best view throughout the tour. He is fun to be with and he takes care of us in a small group well. He is a Good tour lead.

Our guide Marvin was very friendly, prompt, informative and showed us some sights and views off the beaten path. The local site guides and shopowners clearly had a good relationship with him as well which was a great thing to see when traveling. The areas were beautiful, we highly recommend this trip and would gladly travel with Marvin again.

We started at 4:40 in the morning and returned at 8 pm. A Ford van was used and there where 7 passengers, which was very tight. Our driver did not speak english (but was very friendly), so you basically pay for the ride and some candy, chips and drinks (bring your own healthy food). The part of the Canyon "Antelope X" is not one of the famous "Upper und Lower Canyon", its a farly new Navajo operated hike business which takes place in the same Area. It was beautiful though and the Navajo guide was great. The driver told us to not take our tripods, in the canyon many people had them though (maybe ask a staffer at Antelope X if you are allowed - because its dark down there). The Horseshoe Bend was also great and the Hoover Dam is huge. Its worth to see these places despite the torturous drive.
