Overview

Located southeast of Lower Antelope canyon by the gateway town of Page, AZ. This part of the canyon is chiseled out by millions of years’ worth of flood erosion and impactful winds on its sandstone, enough to sculpt out the iconic "X" shape that aptly named the canyon. Canyon X is a relatively new scenic tour and the lesser-known cousin of Upper/Lower Antelope Canyon, which results in fewer visitors by comparison to the other two.

Canyon X is a nice mixture of the characteristics of both Upper and Lower canyon, with the Upper’s feature of pillars of light and the Lower’s steepness. Canyon X is also deeper than the other two by comparison, and with it brings ample photo opportunities. It truly is a great vacation spot for photography as well.

-Navajo Nation Park Permit Fee of $8/person is not included (cash only due upon arrival). The permit fee is valid for 1 day for any Navajo Tribal Parks.
-Bring $3-5 per person cash for the Navajo Guide gratuities

Travel Tips:
-It is very dry in the desert region; please remember to stay hydrated, especially during hot weather.
-Please dress according to the time, season, and weather of the activity date. Comfortable outdoor shoes are strongly recommended.
-Sun protection recommended for sunny days: hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.

Antelope Canyon X is a great alternative to the busier upper and lower Antelope Canyon tours. The location is remote but well worth the drive. Our tour guide Josh was knowledgeable and fun. The walk down to the slot canyon isn't too bad but be prepared for coming back up. It's a steep walk up a wide 200 ft staircase.
