Beginner Group Surf Lesson

Overview

Goofy Foot was established in Lahaina, Maui in April, 1994 by the Owner/Instructor Tim Sherer to perpetuate his relationship with Mother Ocean and to teach the ancient Hawaiian sport of surfing. We are dedicated to providing professional surfing lessons to all levels of aspiring students in the spirit of fun and learning. We are committed to facilitating the highest level of experience for our guests with a focus on teaching safety, ocean awareness and surfing fundamentals. Students are guaranteed to standup and ride at least one wave, and even more are given a smart approach to learning to surf that is based on technique and fundamentals that they can use to accelerate learning on their own.

This place is awesome. Fabio is a stellar instructor and our family of five had a total blast, catching lots of waves our first time out ever. Professional, fun, safe. Would 110% recommend.

First, go to thr website to find a date and time. Ignore Google and trip advisor saying it is closed. We got this place as a recommendation to check out from a zip line tour guide (no they don't work here). We were very happy. The full time instructor, Fabio, did a great job instructing, watching over and helping everyone surf. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. The location for surfing was also ideal. I recommend this over some of the pricier places for sure. Note that there are small shops and restaurants near by too Parking is free for 3 hours near by. Get their early

Kevin was so awesome! He had us up surfing almost every wave. The first lesson was so good that we decided to go again a few days later. One of the highlights of our trip to Maui. We even got free professional photos!
