What To Expect

Kualoa Ranch

Established in 1850, Kualoa is a 4,000-acre (1,619-hectare) working cattle ranch that extends from the rugged mountains down to the ocean. The terrain includes dense rain forest, open valleys and white-sand beaches. Many areas of this natural paradise can be reached only on foot, horseback or all-terrain vehicle. You may even recognize the scenery as Kualoa Ranch has served as a set for Hollywood movies such as Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor and Godzilla, and TV shows like Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I. and Lost.

We went as a family of 4 and booked the Kualoa Ranch Experience Package. The staff on all tours were very very friendly and passionate, the entire experience felt unrushed. The views are breath taking! And what an excitement to see the locations where soo many movies were filmed! We also took a Chinese tour for the Movie site and Ranch tour, the guide was able to speak in both Mandarin and Cantonese and he was hilarious as well! Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking to visit somewhere they will remember.

We chose the package with three experiences. The catamaran/ocean tour was our least favorite but was still funny due to our boat pilot. The Jungle and Ranch and Movie tours were fabulous! Seeing the varying terrain, learning the history of the ranch and seeing the movie sites was very informative, interesting and a great ride open buses!
