What To Expect
1
Greenwell Farms
Our first stop makes the perfect stop at one of our favorite premium Kona coffee farms - Greenwell Farms. Enjoy a parfait and a scone while you sip from one of Greenwell's favorite coffee roasts. "As one of the largest and oldest coffee producers in Kona, Greenwell Farms is proud to celebrate its history and spread the spirit of aloha with every cup."
2
Punalu'u Bake Shop
Sweet, sweet Hawaiian bread! "Welcoming over 200,000 visitors from near and far every year, our bake shop is the most visited bakery in the state of Hawaiʻi. Located on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in the town of Na‘alehu, midway between Kailua-Kona and Volcanoes National Park, our visitor center is a must-stop! You know you’re close when you smell the sweet aroma of our world-famous sweet bread, malasadas, and baked goods."
3
Punalu'u Black Sand beach
Turtle time! Come see nesting turtles at the most famous black sand beach in the Pacific Ocean. The beach has black sand made of basalt and created by lava flowing into the ocean which explodes as it reaches the ocean and cools. Strong riptides and a dangerous shore break are for brave snorkelers only. We will not be swimming or snorkeling while on tour but we'll be able to spot turtles making their way to the beach or heading back out to sea!
4
Volcano Winery
Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch at this incredible property in Volcano Village, Hawaii! This is the southernmost winery in the U.S. and produces some really unique fruity wines. In the back of the property, walk in the garden and enjoy the rows of growing tea. In the tasting room, sample wine, tea or hot chocolate. This beautiful property is the perfect place to relax before we head to the volcano!
5
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
For many, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is the highlight of the tour. Visit the rim of Halemaumau Crater, explore the visitor center and stroll the ancient lava trails with our guides. Kilauea erupted violently in the spring of 2018 causing 80,000 earthquakes through the summer. One hundred days of underground and fissure eruptions, make this the most exciting attraction on Hawaii Island. "Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is on Hawaii Island (the Big Island). At its heart are the Kīlauea and Mauna Loa active volcanoes. The Crater Rim Drive passes steam vents and the Jaggar Museum, which features volcanology exhibits and a viewpoint overlooking Halema'uma'u Crater. Thick ferns mark the entrance to the Thurston Lava Tube (Nāhuku). The Chain of Craters Road weaves over lava. Trails crisscross the park."
6
Rainbow Falls
Rainbow Falls is a waterfall located in Hilo, Hawaii. It is 80 ft tall and almost 100 ft in diameter. The falls are part of the Hawai'i State Parks. There is no fee to see the falls. At Rainbow Falls, the Wailuku River rushes into a large pool below.

Our driver for this tour was Brett, and he is FANTASTIC! He is extremely knowledgeable about the island and went the extra mile (or extra 10 miles!) to share many, many details about the places we were seeing. It was obvious that he really enjoys what he does. He even serenaded us on his ukulele! All of the stops were worthwhile, and the tour hit many of our "must see" locations.

Best guided tour, well worth the time and money! Our guide, Jim was the BEST, so knowledgeable, interesting and offers so much history and culture of the islands. I can’t say enough about Jim! Tour was in a new Merecedes Van with pick up and drop off at our hotel. Our group was around 10 or 11, perfect size and plenty of room for everyone. This company thinks of everything, great breakfast which included placemats, lavender hand wipes and water when and if needed. Lunch was ready when arrived and delicious. All the stops along the tour where great. I would highly suggest this tour to everyone and already have. Jim also suggested other points of interest along the way. Long day but went by fast and was never boring.... Keep up the Great Work!!!!!

I took the Deluxe Circle Island Experience tour this weekend with Aaron as our guide. I had planned to drive around the island in my rental car (I’m not usually a fan or organized tours), but am so glad I took this tour instead. I was picked up at my hotel in a nice van. We did a full loop of the island, stopping off at key spots along the way (coffee farm, Volcanoes National Park, several waterfalls and more). Aaron was a wealth of knowledge and educated us about the island as we drove and at the sights. We only managed to stump him on one obscure question. Breakfast and lunch were good and very filling, and they provided cold water throughout the day. The bus had a range of people - solo travelers, couples, friends. They accommodated for people with limited mobility. Everyone on the van was raving about the tour at the end of the day. It would be good for anyone except families with smaller kids.
