What To Expect
1
Greenwell Farms
Our first stop makes the perfect stop at one of our favorite premium Kona coffee farms - Greenwell Farms. Enjoy a parfait and a scone while you sip from one of Greenwell's favorite coffee roasts. "As one of the largest and oldest coffee producers in Kona, Greenwell Farms is proud to celebrate its history and spread the spirit of aloha with every cup."
2
Punalu'u Bake Shop
Sweet, sweet Hawaiian bread! "Welcoming over 200,000 visitors from near and far every year, our bake shop is the most visited bakery in the state of Hawaiʻi. Located on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in the town of Na‘alehu, midway between Kailua-Kona and Volcanoes National Park, our visitor center is a must-stop! You know you’re close when you smell the sweet aroma of our world-famous sweet bread, malasadas, and baked goods."
3
Punalu'u Black Sand beach
Turtle time! Come see nesting turtles at the most famous black sand beach in the Pacific Ocean. The beach has black sand made of basalt and created by lava flowing into the ocean which explodes as it reaches the ocean and cools. Strong riptides and a dangerous shore break are for brave snorkelers only. We will not be swimming or snorkeling while on tour but we'll be able to spot turtles making their way to the beach or heading back out to sea!
4
Volcano Winery
Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch at this incredible property in Volcano Village, Hawaii! This is the southernmost winery in the U.S. and produces some really unique fruity wines. In the back of the property, walk in the garden and enjoy the rows of growing tea. In the tasting room, sample wine, tea or hot chocolate. This beautiful property is the perfect place to relax before we head to the volcano!
5
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
For many, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is the highlight of the tour. Visit the rim of Halemaumau Crater, explore the visitor center and stroll the ancient lava trails with our guides. Kilauea erupted violently in the spring of 2018 causing 80,000 earthquakes through the summer. One hundred days of underground and fissure eruptions, make this the most exciting attraction on Hawaii Island. "Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is on Hawaii Island (the Big Island). At its heart are the Kīlauea and Mauna Loa active volcanoes. The Crater Rim Drive passes steam vents and the Jaggar Museum, which features volcanology exhibits and a viewpoint overlooking Halema'uma'u Crater. Thick ferns mark the entrance to the Thurston Lava Tube (Nāhuku). The Chain of Craters Road weaves over lava. Trails crisscross the park."
6
Rainbow Falls
Rainbow Falls is a waterfall located in Hilo, Hawaii. It is 80 ft tall and almost 100 ft in diameter. The falls are part of the Hawai'i State Parks. There is no fee to see the falls. At Rainbow Falls, the Wailuku River rushes into a large pool below.

Aaron Brown picked me up right on time in front of my resort with a brand new tour bus. We started the tour at Joe's Coffee, had breakfast and continued on to the Black sand beach. As we approached Sea Mountain Resort I was telling Tour guide Aaron that I had never seen a Nene in the wild. To my surprise he pulled the van to the side of the road and pointed at a little pond. The Nene were right there. Aaron waited to pull away until I had a chance to snap some pictures. I have a bad hip and when we got to the black sand beach Aaron helped me to maneuver over the terrain so I could see the waves crashing and watch a sea turtle. He was very attentive. This continued through Volcano National park, Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls. He found samples of olivine because i said I hadn't found the green sand beach. Aaron had amazing facts about everything that he was happy to share. All in all a wonderful tour and I can't thank Aaron enough for his generous help throughout the day

We had been to the Big Island before and had tried to see it all. This tour took us to a number of places we had not seen before and included loads of information we didn't know about the island. It was nice to not have to drive and be able to see so much of the island in one day. Brett was a great, engaging tour guide, a very nice lunch, and made the complete circle of the island. This company has interesting itineraries and very comfortable vehicles (I'm 6'2" and could easily stand moving around inside). We highly recommend this company.

This is a 12-hour small-group guided tour, in a top of the line van. Our group was 8 people, plus our amazing tour guide, Aaron. Aaron was a wealth of knowledge. There seemed to be no question he didn’t know the answer to. In addition to taking us to a coffee farm, where we had breakfast, he showed us a black sand beach where we saw sea turtles basking in the sun, lunch at a lodge near Volcano National Park, a most memorable stop at the newly re-opened Volcano National Park where we saw Kilauea venting steam in a very dramatic way, a quick stop at a candy shop and two water falls. Aaron was prepared for the rain we encountered and had rain coats and umbrellas for all. This was the PERFECT way to learn about the Big Island and we are so glad we scheduled this at the beginning of our stay.
