Black Cat Historical Day Tour

Overview
Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Dan was our guide and we could not have been happier with our tour! We did a tour at 8:30 at night and loved the night time feel of the town as he told us all the great stories! It was great! The park, the hotel, the Clue house, it was all fantastic! We had the best time!!!

Daniel, the guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of Salem and all in all, a good tour. My only complaint was that we stated when we ordered the tickets, that there was a person who walked slowly due to a joint replacement. Daniel would start his spiel before everyone had arrived and therefore much of the information was missed.

Thank you so much for your review and for attending our tour! We would like to let you know that as our tours are unscripted, our guides will often begin at a location with a little bit of additional information or answer questions if there is a need for the rest of the tour to wait for a guest or group. We assure you that none of the main content of the tour would be told without everyone present. We do understand that this may look like others are getting more information, and for that we do apologize. If you would like to contact us at [email protected] we would like to provide you a copy of our book free of charge, to fill in some of those extra details for you!
